em's state of the union address
ack. the people I live with don't seem to care about anything in the world! They have intensely stressful jobs, true, but honestly know more about Nick and Jessica than any world issue you could name (unless Ralph Lauren perfume is a world issue!)
Eg. I read the following statement by George W Bush:
"Twenty-eight months have passed since Sept. 11, 2001, over two years without an attack on American soil, and it is tempting to believe that the danger is behind us. That hope is understandable, comforting and false."
and I say, "Bush is psychotic!"
My darling housemate, says "uhhh...ok?" like I'm crazy. I have a sneaking suspicion she didn't actually know who I was talking about. Is there a real world outside my reality tv world?
